I work with hiking and understanding I work to use art to create knowledge about who and what we are and what trails we use to pass through life on. I also do watercolors and experiment on how to use digital technology, poetry and metaphors to visualize understanding.
Background I was born in 1966, In Denmark, Hiking and walking is where I get my inspiration and I have been hiking since 1986, where I spent 8 months in the mountains of Norway to understand the basic. I started to draw three years later in 1989 to get a break from my journalist dreams - and from 1991-2000 I studied on the Royal Danish Academy of fine Art, where I did concepts, art, architecture, industrial design and landscape.
I also have a full Cand.IT degree (2001-2006) in Digital communication and design from the Danish IT university, Where I specialized in digital visual storytelling. I have worked as an illustrator, vizualizer, designer, concept-consultant, architect and a lot of other things. Today I am a full member of the Danish Journalist Union.
In 1999 I walked and painted my way 1.500km. to Santiago de Compostella along the ancient pilgrims trail. Since then I have made illustrations for magazines, newspapers, websites and workshops. And I have hiked a lot of trails and worked hard to get closer to understand how to visualize the trails and the metaphors in our heads.
I believe that if we can connect our understanding to the landscapes, this understanding will make us a lot happier and the world a much nicer place for everybody.
