The very first of my paintings on Rice Paper Lamps. I started out a late evening in the studio where I had run out of paper and someone had given me an Rice Paper lamp ( just the paper part ) and I had been looking at it for a few days wondering what to do with it…

Back 20 years I was sitting most days in the streets of Copenhagen, drawing sketches of people passing by,  in my Chinese rice paper sketchbook. Now when looking at the rice paper lamp I wondered…could I draw on it?
