Every morning while the low winter sun slowly came up I headed out through the woods, in thick jacket and three layers of trousers and socks. Walking out between the trees with my painting gear and a thermos of hot tea. I headed out to a special place where the ground was more wet, but now frozen hard. I went out to paint the Alder trees out here. Beautiful creatures standing there watching me while I painted them:
